That's My Dash user guide
Getting started
Sign in with the email address and password created by your administrator. Your dashboard is personal: other users have their own favourites, tasks, notes, calendars and settings.
Search
Choose a search engine above the search field, enter your query and select Search. Under Edit, you can select built-in engines and add your own. A custom search URL template must contain {query}.
Favourites and sections
Under Edit, you can create, rename, move, hide and delete favourite sections. You can also add and prioritise links and select icons. Priority controls order, not icon size.
Current tasks
Create a quick task on the dashboard, or open Tasks for all options. A task can have a title, deadline and notes. Completed tasks can be marked as finished. Device alerts require HTTPS and browser permission.
Notes
Open Notes to create and edit notes. A note can be pinned to the dashboard and unpinned later without deleting it. Keep backups of important information; notes are not intended for passwords.
Calendar
The local calendar works without an external account. You can also add a read-only iCal address or connect Google Calendar if Google has been configured by the administrator. Colours and labels identify each event's source. Treat private calendar addresses like passwords.
Weather
Choose a city or device location under Edit. If location permission is denied, the selected city is used. Choose metric units with °C, km/h and mm or US units with °F, mph and inches.
News and RSS
RSS is a machine-readable news feed from a website. Look for a link named RSS, Feed or Subscribe, or search for the website name and RSS. Test the address before saving it. On large screens, news can appear in the ticker; on mobile, the standard news list remains. Ticker visibility and speed can be changed under Edit.
Personalisation and language
Under Edit, choose light or dark theme, language, module order, compact display and item counts. Anything that can be moved always has buttons and keyboard controls.
Install as an app
Select Install app when your browser offers it. The app uses the same account and data as the website. A simple offline page can appear without a connection, but weather, RSS and external calendars require internet access.
Profile, backup and security
On the profile page, change your name, language and password. Download a personal backup regularly, especially before upgrading. Sign out on shared devices and use a unique passphrase of at least 12 characters.
Troubleshooting
Open System check for the status of weather, RSS, calendar and icons. Read the error and last successful update time, then select Try again. Contact the administrator if the problem continues.
Accessibility
Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move focus, Enter or Space to activate controls, and Skip to content to reach the main content. Browser text zoom is supported. Please report accessibility problems so they can be corrected.
